    Project Central

We are experiencing a problem when posting projects to Project Central with the way the Duration is being calculated/displayed.

In our project plan we have set Tools, Options, Calendar hours to 8:00-4:30, 7.5 hour day, 37.5 hour week. We have also set Tools, Changing Working Time, weekdays to be 8-12, 1-4:30 to match the 7.5 hours.

When posting to Project Central, the calendar seems to be reflected properly, because the hours in the Start and Finish columns show as going from 8-4:30. However the duration does not reflect properly, because instead of showing a 1 day duration, it shows .94 days. So it appears that Project Central is using the default 8 hours to define a 1 day duration.

We haven't been able to find anywhere in Project Central where you can define the length of a day.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Adri

    Re: Project Central

It should be read from the project file, but that's the problem - it isn't.

I talked to Microsoft support today and they were able to duplicate the problem. It's been escalated to the Research Group - so looks like we may have found a bug in Project Central (I've never hoped so hard they would tell me I had overlooked something...).
