    Unwanted address 'suggestion' (XP Home-SP2)

When I type in the first few letters of my desired To: information I sometimes get exactly what I want and sometimes get a list of other people, several of whom I don't even know! I probably sent a "reply" at one time and the name is in the database somewhere. It is NOT in my contacts list. How do I delete these names that I don't want?

These names come from the nickname list that is automatically generated. You can reset this list by following the instructions in How to reset the nickname and the automatic completion caches in Outlook

Tony -- Many thanks for the rapid reply -- I've already followed the information and it worked like a charm! <img src=/S/clapping.gif border=0 alt=clapping width=19 height=23>

Another option is to scroll down to the undesirable entries and just hit the "delete" key.
