    Renaming (2003)

I've been asked to create a database, which is basically the same as one I've done before, with just a couple of fields being renamed or added. All the queries will perform the same actions. Is there a way of renaming tables, so all other dependancies stay intact?

Access 2003 will handle this for you to a point. If you rname a table, and have the options set, Access will find that table in queries, forms, and reports and make the name correction.

To set the options, On the Tools menu open Options. Click the General tab. On the right side of this tab you should see "Name AutoCorrect" the options here will allow you to control how the renaming is handled.

A word of caution. The auto renaming does NOT find references in code.

    Hope this helps
    Good Luck
