    ListBox question (2000/2002)

I have a form that has a ListBox on it. The ListBox shows the titles of the database reports. I would like add a textbox or subform, anything really, to display a description of the report when a report is picked in the ListBox.

How can I relate the report description to the report list?

Do you mean the description that you can type if you select a report in the database and select View | Properties, or something else (if so, please specify)

You can include the description field in the row source of the list box:
    - Set the Column Count to 2.
    - Set Column Widths to (for example) 1";0"

Set the Control Source of the text box to

    =[list](1)

where ListBoxName is the name of the list box.

(the columns are counted starting at 0, so Column(1) is the 2nd column)

    Hans

Thank you kindly, one of my attempts at this I almost had it right
Did not put in column of the description.
