Poweres from the powers that be?

    2 2 2
    A + B =C

Looks pretty, but as some of us like to play with puzzles etc. Is there any way a piece of code be written so that we can have powers. I did this with a load of [ tab] tags and got a tad fiddly

Anyway, just something for the "wish list"

To get the squared character you can use Alt+0178 (Hold down the Alt key and press 0178 on the numberpad)

    A

And if you want a quick way to find what the number is, *and* you happen to have Word open...

May the powers be with you.

    Thanks Leif

Very useful. I had a brief hunt as I have found out that trick before when I was looking for the lemniscate a couple of weeks back. Pity there isn't an easy way to powers higher than 2 and 3 though <img src=/S/cheers.gif border=0 alt=cheers width=30 height=16>

The Lounge powers don't go that high, so it wouldn't be useful here, anyhow, Jerry. <img src=/S/innocent.gif border=0 alt=innocent width=20 height=20>

    Jezza

It doesn't quite fit the bill, but you can Add Math to Web pages with EzMath. If you don't mind saving as a .GIF etc. in something like Irfanview, then attaching, it does a nice job.

    Just do it the way I would... A squared + B squared = C squared! <img src=/S/wink.gif border=0 alt=wink width=15 height=15>

Hmmm...isn't beauty in the <img src=/S/eyeout.gif border=0 alt=eyeout width=15 height=15> of the beholder.... I thing A squared or A cubed is beautiful. Besides its more flexible too...I'd like to see your "beautiful" version show A polygoned!

...but that was my point. I want polygonic powers. Wow, it sounds like a super hero.
