    Struggling with parenthasis (Excel 2002)

    Hi

I am struggling with open and closed brackets again

=IF((ISBLANK(F17),$AA$18=TRUE,"DC Pump:--")),,$AA$18=TRUE,"DC Pump:--")). I feel I have tried every combination, but obviously I have not!

    Many Thanks

    Braddy

It's not clear what you want. Please explain.

    Hi Hans

    Hi Hans

    The Formula is in I19

If F17 is blank then Nothing if it is not blank and AA18 is = True, (this again is a link cell from a checkbox)
then enter in to the cell I19 the text "DC Pump--".

Hope this is clearer, thank you for patience

What if F17 is not blank and AA18 is not True?

    Hi Braddy

    Try this:

    =IF(F17="","",IF(AA18=TRUE,"DC Pump--",""))

    Hi Rory

If F17 is NOT blank and AA118 = False then I19 should be blank,

    Thanks for your reponse.

    Try:
    =IF(AND(AA18,F17<>""),"DC Pump--","")
