Using results of a query in an expression (Access 2000)

I would like to create an expression that finds all records on or after the date of the last committee meeting. The date is determined by the query "qry_Last Committee Meeting (Top)". When I use the build function, this is what I get:

    >= [qry_Last Committee Meeting (Top)]![Date of Last Committee Meeting]

Unfortunately, this doesn't work as it always asks me to enter a parameter value. Any thoughts?

    Thanks.

I assume that qry_Last Committee Meeting (Top) returns only one record, otherwise the expression is ambiguous.

Do you use this in the Criteria line in a query? If so, you can add qry_Last Committee Meeting (Top) to the query (Query | Show Table, activate the Queries tab).

    Hans,

You are correct. The qry_Last Committee Meeting (Top) returns only one record (the latest date). I added the query "qry_Last Committee Meeting (Top)" and it worked!

Thanks for your help. You really know your stuff!

    Regards,

    Joe
