    Saving toolbar configuration (2003/Sp1)

    Dear Loungers,

Perhaps one of you knows the answer to this small irritation... I have a number of toolbars that appear, on loading, on separate horizontal "lines". Even when I move them to be on 2 lines and exit normally the preferred layout is not retained. two of the three offending toolbars are for external applications - norton spam and avery.

Can I stop this? thank you................. liz

Liz, under View | Toolbars | Customize | Options tab, have you checked "Show Standard and Formatting Toolbars on two rows"?

If you do, does it solve the problem?

Many 3rd party applications have been programmed to put their toolbars in a row by itself whenever Outlook starts. As far as I know there is no way to stop this from happening.

This annoyed me so much, I wrote a macro to rearrange the bars to my liking. It is posted here on the Outlook board in <post#=343644>post 343644</post#>.
