data labels truncated (Excel 2003 SP1)

I am working on complex charts that have 2 Y-axis labels (2nd one for trendlines). Once the charts are made I must cut-n-paste them as pictures into a Word report.

The 2nd label on the right side of the chart ("Avg. delayed discrepancies") continues to have the final "s" truncated. I tried adding spaces to the end of the line but that did not help. Reducing the font size from 14 to 12 points did not help.

    Is there any workaround?

    TIA,
    gg

Could you attach a workbook demonstrating the problem? Remove or modify proprietary information.
