    Invalid Argument (2003)

I am trying to fix a database for a user and it contains many make table queries. I keep getting Invalid Argument on some of the queries that I am running. I look in design view and they seem alright. I have noticed something wierd though. The queries want the table to be there before they run. I am unable to run the queries if the table does not exist. How do I create it the first time?
    Thanks for your help...

You say you are trying to "fix a database". Was it corrupted? If so, then the cause of the error that Francois pointed to might still be a factor even if the db seems less then 2 GB. That is, the corruption may have caused Access to think the db is larger than Windows shows it to be. If it was corrupted, you should try creating a new db and importing the objects from the old db.
