Display xlUpdateLink dialog (VBA/Excel/2003)

    Hello all

I have tried the following code to programattically open the Edit Links dialog box in a workbook that has external links. I need the user to click on a form button to open it so that the user can then use the Open Source command button to see the linked file and data.

    I have tried

Application.Dialogs(xlDialogUpdateLink).Show

but get the 'Run-time error '1004' message.

What should I be doing or what am I missing?

The arguments xlDialogChangeLink and xlDialogUpdateLink never seem to work Instead, try

    Application.Dialogs(xlDialogOpenLinks).Show
