    Excel Tabs (Office 2003)

I have an extensive excel program that I print out a number of pages as a single electronic proposal using Acrobat.

The problem, as I select pages by (Ctrl)(Click) the tab changes colors so you will know which tabs have been selected but the tab color changes so little that is is almost impossible to see which have been selected. It changes from grey to white. Now on this computer, it is bright enough to see the difference but on my main computer the grey and white are about the same. I realize that screen brightness helps but wonder if there is any way of changing the tab color or darkness???

Right click on the worksheet tab that needs to be colored.
From the pop-up menu choose the "Tab Color" choice.
When the Format Tab Color window opens pick a color and click OK.

Note: This does not work in versions earlier than XL2002.

Excel gets its colors from the Apparence tab of the Display Control Panel applett. I am not sure which of the items it uses for the tabs, but changing the Scheme should change everything. However, be aware that will also change all of Windows default colors.

Thanks, that is great, I can select all tabs, make them a darker color, then when I select one or more they turn white........

    I have been building the programs under office 2000, recently changed to 2002 and did not realize I could now right click the tabs.... <img src=/S/clapping.gif border=0 alt=clapping width=19 height=23> <img src=/S/clapping.gif border=0 alt=clapping width=19 height=23>

You could always right click them, before XL2002 you just didn't have the option to change the tab color... <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15>
