Can't stop windows trying to update (Windows XP SP

I recently bought a used laptop, which did not have any software disks.

It works fine, but had not been updated for 18 months or so.


I updated Windows to SP2 & set up automatic updates.

Windows is fine, but it has downloaded SP3 for Office & keeps trying to install it. It then asks for the disk, which I don't have, so I click cancel & it goes away until next time!

A file has obviously been downloaded & it keeps trying to install itself.

Is there any way to find & remove it?
