    Trojan Stervis

I have been hit by a Trojan that Norton AV calls poller.exe. NAV detects but cannot remove or quarantine. NAV is current. Web search reveals that this is really part of Trojan.w32.stervis.b. Symantec has no removal tool posted. Other sites purport to have a removal tool, but I've never heard of them - don't want to download more trouble. Any suggestions?

Sounds like you need to go to one of th HijackThis forums and get some help with this. Take a look here for another case of this and it's removal.

I think PC Tools - Essential Tools for your PC would be OK. Not familiar with the other.
