    Microsoft Query (Office XP SP3)

I need to get some information on Microsoft Query - what it is, how to use it, etc. I found some info on the web, but no specifics. Don't know how to launch it.

    Thanks!

Microsoft Query is used when you import data from a database. Select Data | Get External Data | New Database Query... After the initial steps, Microsoft Query will start; it has its own online help.

Worth getting your head around, my opinion.
I'm far from a guru, have learned all I know here, but the MS query tool saves me a load of work.
Specifically, I hold a largish list of names, addresses etc, with many folk whose chief hobbies seem to be getting married (name changes) or moving house (worse.)
Great lumps of this list live in sundry forms, so that typing in eg a member number populates by automagic their name and address and sometimes more.
Only having to change the data once and then updating the other forms by clicking the 'refresh' button every time the file is opened is a great help. Much better than retyping the same address etc change x times (and forgetting at least one!)
I don't link to other files as the forms need to be distributed to other people, too and I want to send one file not 10.
    This is to encourage you!
