    remote database (Access 2000)

I am trying to open a remote database and set the invoicedates to 0 when the field PaymentID is 0.
How can i perform the updating in a remote command? Obviiously the sql clauses cannot be applied in this case.
I have begung my command as follows:

    Set tdf = db.TableDefs("orders")
    tdf.Fields.Refresh
    Set fld = tdf.Fields("InvoiceDate")

How can i apply the following condition in the above lines?

    Dim sqlString As String
sqlString = " Update orders SET invoicedate = 0 WHERE PaymentID Is Null"

If you link the remote table in your database, you can run a query or SQL statement on it just as if it were a local table.
