PawSense

(Edited by Leif to remove extra "http:///" from beginning of URL.)

Although some may think this entry should be in another forum, it is a legit software product.

PawSense is a software utility that helps protect your computer from cats. It quickly detects and blocks cat typing, and also helps train your cat to stay off the computer keyboard.

    Re: PawSense

Do they have something similar for telephone answering machines?

One of our cats discovered that, by pressing the 'record' button, she could record herself. Then by tapping the button she could listen to herself meowing. Of course callers would also have the pleasure of listening to her greeting!

The 1st time she did it we thought it was an accident. The 2nd time, a coincidence. The 3rd time, we covered the answering machine and spoiled her fun.

    Have a Great day!!!

No, but cats computer keyboards, especially laptop keyboards (because they're warm). I had one who liked to sleep on my laptop keyboard and the only thing I could do to discourage her was to close the top of the desk to keep her away from the computer. Unfortunately, it is difficult to type like that ... Anyone who lives with cats and computers is always searching for a means of keeping the two separate.

Yes, I finally had to disconnect the answering machine my cats could walk across and get something else. I got tired of coming home to "You have 6 new messages", all of which were empty except for little kitty noises!
