Firefox Form Filling Trouble (FF 1.0.4)

One thing I like (or liked) about Firefox was that it seemed to retain the information in forms better. So if I use the back button after submitting a form my choices would still be there. Suddenly Firefox seems to have lost its memory. I haven't changed any settings but when I use the browser back button the data disappears. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

    Thanks,

    Chris (Hunt)

The web page's author or the web site's server can set an option to prevent caching of pages, so if this only affects a particular site or two, that might be the issue. If it is a global problem, then I'm not sure where that is in Firefox.

Do you use the option to save form information under Tools>Options..., Privacy panel, Saved Form Information? I have that off, but if you were relying on that, perhaps the file storing that information has become corrupted. <img src=/S/shrug.gif border=0 alt=shrug width=39 height=15>

Thanks for the reply, actually I noticed this problem with a form I'm making for my own website. As far as I know I have no setting to prevent caching of pages and I'm almost certain it was working and then stopped. I don't think it is the webpage itself as Internet Explorer will remember the options selected. I think it's a Firefox issue but not sure what.

I cleared out the Save Form option (It was on but if I was aware of it I'd long forgotten). Will try and track down if something is corrupted.

    Thanks, again,

    Chris
