    Are you using HTML as your default message format? Not sure if this is what you mean concerning 'a space after each paragraph', but pressing 'enter' to insert a para break inserts a substantial break between paragraphs in HTML: to insert a one-line break try using Shift-Enter.

    As to your inability to lock in font settings, that is a puzzle. I assume you are using the dialogs under (from the general Outlook application window) Tools | Options |Mail Format | Fonts ... , correct?
