    open form (2002)

    Question - I want to open a form and have it show no records so I have set the data entry to yes on the property button on the form. However when I press my find button I can't find other records that I need to look at. How could I remedy this?

    Benji,
    What exactly are you trying to accomplish with your form?

    Open the form up with no data showing but allow someone to search for a certain record if they need to find one. Can this be done?

    If there are no records, there is nothing to search for.
    You could make the form open on a blank new record. The existing records will be available for searching. To do this, create an On Load event procedure for the form:

    Private Sub Form_Load()
    DoCmd.GoToRecord , , acNewRec
    End Sub

    It sure can.... there are a few different ways to do this. Have you tried using a combo box to give you a drop-down list to select the record from?
