    Using Clip Art (PowerPoint 2003)

I personally struggle with how much clip art is too much when you give a power point presentation? Some people say it's distracting... I often find that it's easier for me to link a picture with the concept to grasp a message. When do you know that you have gone overboard with the clipart/ photos?

I don't mind a little subject-appropriate "eye candy" in an educational presentation. If it's a sales presentation, I'd be very careful with that: everything must serve the objective of making the sale. To me, the the most important thing is for the slide to hold still when you want people to pay attention to you so that it is not distracting. Having stuff animate on screen after it has served its purpose is very annoying...
