    YTD Variance Formula (Excel 2003)

    I put a formula in E6, see attachment. It is wrong. I need to take to the Budget in cells d3 and e3 and - them from d4 and e4. See the cells in yellow E6. then in F6 in need d3 and e3 and f3 added and - them from d4 and e4 and f4. etc. Thanks in advance. Need the best formula to use.

    Is this what you want in E6?

    <code>
    =SUM($D$3:E3)-SUM($D$4:E4)
    </code>
