Insert Outlook Address into Word. (2002)

In Outlook I use the "File As" option to display the names in Last: order.
    Exactly what I want.

When I use the "Insert Address" button in Word I get the list of Outlook Address's in First: order.
Zelda Appleton at the bottom; Andrew Zachs at the top. Not what I want.

I have experimented with the Autotext AddressLayout facility in Word but this just alters what is pasted into the Word document, not the order in which the names appear in the dialogue box.

I would welcome suggestions as what to try next.

    Regards

    Tony

If you are trying to insert the address to write a letter to the contact, why not just use the "Action" New Letter to contact. I have my contacts set up the same as you and it works here.
    Thanks John

Thanks for the suggestion, I had not tried that before and have just been experimenting.

Using Actions/New Letter to Contact appears to open a "normal.dot" template and put the address right at the top. It also actions the "letter wizard", which can be got rid of by one click but is an unwanted intrusion.

I use a series of different Word templates and want the address dropped into a specific place in an already open template. It doesn't look as if Actions/New Letter to Contact will let you do this.

    Thanks for the idea though.
