    flash cards (word 2002)

    I have a list of terms and definitions from which I would like to print some flash cards. They are currently in a 2 column Excel spreadsheet with one term and its definition per row. My thought was to use a Word merge document using a label definition and print the terms on one side of a page and the definitions on the other side. If I use an Avery definition 5163, it gives me 10 - 2

    You could run a macro in Excel to exchange the 1st and 2nd, 3rd and 4th, etc. definitions, so that they will end up correctly for the mail merge. Assuming that the definitions start in B2:

    Sub Switchem()
    Dim lngMaxRow As Long
    Dim lngRow As Long
    Dim strTemp As String
    lngMaxRow = Range("B65536").End(xlUp).Row
    For lngRow = 2 To lngMaxRow Step 2
    strTemp = Range("B" & (lngRow + 1))
    Range("B" & (lngRow + 1)) = Range("B" & lngRow)
    Range("B" & lngRow) = strTemp
    Next lngRow
    End Sub

    Running the macro a second time will restore the original order.
