DLookUp Function Seems to Behave Erratically (2003)

If, on the startup form of the attached mdb, you select, say, April 2005 and open the RConsPpTot report you get the error message:
    <font color=448800>The control source "=DLookUp("totale","coeffunzpp")" specified on the form or report doesn't exist.</font color=448800>
If you double-click the coeffunzpp query, if runs with no problems so why that error message?

The record source of a form or report can be:
    - the name of a table
    - the name of a query (not an action query)
    - an SQL string
An expression such as =DLookUp("totale","coeffunzpp") is NOT a valid record source. (The error message mentions 'record source', not 'control source')

Since none of the text boxes on your report is bound to a field, your report doesn't need to have a record source. You can clear it.

    Oopsie!! <img src=/S/blush.gif border=0 alt=blush width=15 height=15>
I inadvertently copied the content of the Testo173 text box into the report's record source.
Thank you Hans, had I had the English version of Access, I guess I'd have had a better chance of figuring that out. <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15>
