    Can

    I have the following code in a database startup module:

    ' Tools->Options->Advanced
    Application.SetOption "Default Open Mode for Databases", 0 ' Shared, -1 = Exclusive

    Application.SetOption "Default Record Locking", 0 ' 2=Edited record only
    ' 0=No Locks, 1=All records
    Application.SetOption "Use Record Level Locking", True ' False = Page Level Locking

    The "Use Record Level Locking" is not being set with a check mark

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks, John

    Re: Can

    The correct name for the setting is "Use Row Level Locking", so the line should be

    Application.SetOption "Use Row Level Locking", True

    John This site lists all of the options that can be set through the SetOption command. Oddly enough, it shows "Use Record Level Locking" as the string argument... <img src=/S/hmmn.gif border=0 alt=hmmn width=15 height=15>
