    Unique Records (Access03)

I want to display all of the records from the one table even if there is no record in the many table, so for example I can see who hasn't taken a class. I thought I needed to set the properties of the query to Unique Records to Yes. but that isn't working. What should I be doing? Thank you. Fay

Thank you Hans I knew it was simple, but I couldn't remember it. Fay

Double click the line joining the tables in the upper part of the query design window.
Select the option to include ALL records from the 'one' table and only those records from the 'many' table where the joined fields are equal.
This is called an outer join (left join or right join. depending on the way you look at it); the standard join is an inner join.

PS The Unique Records option is used to filter out duplicate records in the query result.
