Duplicated name exists on network (XP Pro and XP Home)

Well, things can't get anymore confusing...now that I've got the computer up and running, I find another problem...the one that was reloaded with XP now apparently has the same name as another one on the network...How can I find/change one of the names to elimanate the conflict? I took one of the computers and elimated the ability for the sharing options for the documents but that did not do any good...any suggestions is very much appreciated...thanks, John

For XP Pro right click My Computer and select Properties. Click on the Computer Name tab and then click the change button at the bottom. Change the name and OK your way out. You'll probably have to re-boot for the change to take effect.
