    Minimize All without Windows key

    Hi

    I'm temporarily using an ancient keyboard that doesn't have a "Windows" key. The question is, how do I "minimize all" (that is, do the equivalent of WindowsKey+M)?

    I've done it before, by setting up a shortcut to the relevant exe file and giving it a shortcut key (I used to use Alt+Ctrl+M). But I've forgotten the name of the exe!

    Anyone know it?

    Thanks
    Dale

    If the pc has a not-too-old version of Internet Explorer installed, you can activate the Quick Launch toolbar, it comes with a Show Desktop button. This corresponds to a file named Show Desktop.scf. This is a text file with contents

    [Shell]
    Command=2
    IconFile=explorer.exe,3
    [Taskbar]
    Command=ToggleDesktop

    You coild create a shortcut to this file, and assign Alt+Ctrl+M as shortcut key.

    If the focus is on the taskbar, <Alt> M will minimize all windows.

    Thanks, Hans and Brett.
    <UL><LI>I'd forgotten it's an scf, not an exe. However, this PC doesn't have any scf's on the C drive and, if I create the file, Windows doesn't recognise the filetype (I'm running under NT4/IE6). Maybe they've haven't installed full functionality.
    <LI>I tried clicking a blank spot on the taskbar and clicking Alt+M, but that didn't work either.[/list]Looks like I'd better ask for a keyboard with a Windows key.

    Thanks for your help

    Dale,
    It's been a looong time since I used NT, but is there not a menu option if you right-click a blank part of the taskbar to minimise all windows? (I can't remember if it depends on the Show Desktop menu)
