Custom Toolbar - Driving me nuts! (A2003)

    Hello All,
I have a custom toolbar that is exibiting some strange behavior. When I click one command, I get the pop-up I want but the focus remains on the button. With the focus on the button, the user then needs to click into the desired field of the pop-up form. I want the focus to go directly to this one field on the form but can't get it to work. I have tried using the setfocus method but it doesn't solve the issue. Does anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Mark

    Hi Hans,
Sorry for not being as clear as I should be. Toolbar button code is:

    docmd.openform "Formname", acnormal
    forms!frmname!text1.setfocus

    Thanks,
    Mark

DoCmd.OpenForm should make the form being opened the active form, and the control that is first in the tab order should receive the focus. I'm afraid I don't understand why it doesn't work that way for you without seeing the database.
