    what is a 'framed paragraph'? (2000, 2002, 2003)

One of my users is getting the following error: "This method or property is not available because the object refers to a framed paragraph." Anybody have any ideas what that could possibly mean?

    Thanks...

Frames are a bit like text boxes - they were used in Word before the advent of text boxes, and are still available. Some things cannot be done in a frame, such as inserting a page break or section break.

How do you create a frame?

Create a text box, then (with the text box selected), select Format | Text Box...
The Text Box tab contains a button "Convert to Frame..."
If you use frames a lot, you can add "Horizontal Frame" from the Insert category in the Customize dialog to a toolbar or menu. This lets you create a frame directly.

(In VBA, you can create a frame directly through ActiveDocument.Frames.Add Range:=...)
