530 Error (Current version)
When I try to send from OE from my home-office computer, I now get the following error message:
The message could not be sent because the server rejected the sender's e-mail address. The sender's e-mail address was 'email@example.com'. Subject 'Measurements again', Account: 'sundog server', Server: '127.0.0.1', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '530 Authentication required', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 530, Error Number: 0x800CCC78.
I called my ISP, ATT Worldnet, who confirmed that I could send messages via their Webmail interface, and suggested I may need to reinstall OE. This seems drastic, and besides, who knows where my original CD is.
This did not used to happen, but started after I installed ChoiceMail, ZoneAlarm, and other security software. It would be a real pain to uninstall all this stuff and would leave me unprotected. My email address, settings, etc. are unchanged, at least by me. The email address is valid and receives emails daily.
Any suggestions? I Googled the Internet for "530 error" but gave up before I reached the end of the one million, one hundred thousand hits.
I am sending this from my work location, so any suggestions will suffer an overnight delay before I respond. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: 530 Error (Current version)
Sounds like one of your new security measures has blocked your outbound mail connection. Easy test is to disable each new program one at a time and then try to send something after you disable each one. When something goes out, you've likely found the problem program and can then find the setting or whatever other method to keep it from interfering. Not a great solution, but better than uninstalling each one.
