    Access toolbar (2003)

Have lost the ability on one of my Access databases to show the Formatting and/or Form View toolbars, or any other tool bar for that matter except the Menu bar, once I load the database. It shows for a second while loading, then disappears. I go to View and click on Toolbars and nothing happens. If I go to Tools and click on Customize, and look at the Toolbars tab, instead of a large selection of tool bars to check off I only see Menu Bar. I'm not as concerned about what caused it as I am getting the issue resolved.

Sounds like they've been turned off under Tools:Startup Options
Go To Tools>Startup and ensure the boxes to allow menus are checked.

Note: This is usually set up to keep users from modifying that which they should not modify....if you're the developer and just want the menus for your use, hold down shift while opening the database.

    Jeremy -

You were absolutely right. They were turned off. I don't know how I missed that. This is a network database so someone was doing something they shouldn't have.

    Thanks
