Word Reading Layout View (Word 2003)

I'll refrain from going about how stupid I think that the Reading Layout view is (what's the freaking purpose of it???), and jump to the point. Word wants to open in Reading Layout by default, and I don't want it to. Would rather it opened in Print Layout (which makes hellamore sense). Tried opening Word, changing the view to Print Layout, then exiting Word, thinking it would save my view preferences, but no. Tried getting to Tools | Options | View.....which you can't get to when in Reading Layout (genius!!!). Flipped over to Print Layout and went to Tools | Options | View...but didn't find any option for "get rid of freaking Reading Layout view 4evah" I'm sure this is simple, but my frustration is making it hard. Can anyone help?

Did you try clearing Tools > Options > General > Allow starting in Reading Layout

Bless you, Stuart. No, of course I didn't see that right in front of my FACE <img src=/S/doh.gif border=0 alt=doh width=15 height=15>.

Cleared that and it worked. You da man.
