    e-mail settings (2003 SP1)

Where does Outlook store the SMTP, POP3, etc. settings? I just copied my Outlook.pst file from desktop to laptop and couldn't access new mail until I manually set up an e-mail account on the Laptop, using the same parameters. I'm using Internet mail, not Exchange.

If I recall correctly, Outlook accounts are stored in the Registry, in an area under the individual user's profile. There have been some threads here in the past on migrating Outlook accounts from one setup to another. There is no easy and straight-forward way to do it (without migration software).

Thanks for the info. Silly me, for expecting everything Outlook to be in the .pst file. I usually try to ignore the registry if I can!
It was no big problem recreating the account parameters, I was just curious where they were hiding.
