    Excel Macros (Excel 2003 SP1)

Had a problem with corruption in a workbook so I restored it from a backup. (Also tried several prior backups with no luck). Now no matter what I do, I get an error when clicking ok to display a list of files in a combo box. I've played with this for hours and haven't gotten anywhere. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance.

The workbook contains two dialog sheets, and I suppose they have become corrupt. Dialog sheets were abandoned 4 versions of Excel ago in favor of UserForms.

There is code in your module to make the edit box and list box on the dialog sheets imitate a combo box. All this isn't necessary in a userform, since you can use combo boxes there.

The attached version has userforms instead of dialog sheets.

Excellent, thank you!! I suppose I should have looked at changing to userforms a long time ago - but as they say, if it ain't broke....Anyway - thanks again. You have helped me tremendously on more than one issue and application. I'm learning little by little and your patience is very much appreciated.
