    Try:
Tools > Internet Options > Advanced...
and select "Reuse windows for launching shortcuts"

You should select the Reuse windows for launching shortcuts option on the Advanced tab of Internet Options.

Anyone know where this "allow reuse" setting is found in the registry? We have some locked down machines and the clients can not change this in the Tools, Options menu but we can remotely edit the registry to make such a change.

    IE 6 SP1 with XP pro SP1

    Thanks.

A search for Reuse in RegEdit quickly leads to

    HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftInternet ExplorerMainAllowWindowReuse

This DWORD value can be 0 (don't reuse) or 1 (allow reuse).

Thanks... I searched for "allow reuse" or something that did not flag this.
