Win XP-Task Mgr (Win XP Sp 2)

When ever I call for the Task Mgr via Alt/Ctrl/Del keys I one tenth the normal window, revealing only the bottom keys, end task switch task and new task. All else above these keys is not present; no performance, application, or processes tabs or the associated text. I have rebooted and ran anti-virus etc. , any suggestions?
    Regards,
    Marty

If this is a recent development, have you tried a system restore?

All you need to do is double-click the border. The narrow grey section on the side.

double clicking the open gray area proved fruitless, the window example in your response does not resemble mine

Picture resized by HansV because it caused horizontal scrolling. Please don't post pictures over 640x480 pixels in size.

How about a screen shot of the TM. I added both views of my TM.
