    Format c:./s

I am trying to reformat my hard drive and have created a boot disk with cd drivers.

When I run the reformat command it comes back with an insufficient memory error.

    How can I fix this?
Suspect it is to do with startup files - what are the minimum lines that would be required (apart from enabling cd rom)?

P.S. not able to start win 95 so have to do all work in DOS (with edit.com)

If the Format program is on the diskette in the root directory, you should not need anything in Config.sys or Autoexec.bat to do the format. If you need the CD, then all you need is the Device= line in Config.sys that loads the driver and the line in Autoexec.bat that loads the CD file system.
