XP DSL CONNECTION (WIN XP PRO SP1)
After removing a "spy sheriff" worm/virus/unwanted pop-up, I am now unable to connect with my DSL server, the other notebooks are able to connect via the same router hub, but I am unable to do so with my HP Pavillion. When I attempt to connect I get a blank IE page..."unable to locate requested page"...any suggestions? All other resident applications work, I thought of loading another version of Win XP as I fear that the current one may be corrupted.Regards,

Re: XP DSL CONNECTION (WIN XP PRO SP1)
First of all, you should upgrade to SP2. Strongly recommended.
If that doesn't get you on, I would go to Control Panel>Network settings and check your settings there or I would use the New Connection Wizard to create a new connection for you. Then set that one as the default connection.BOB
