    WordPerfect Shortcut (Word 2003)

I have a professor who still uses wp5.1 dos - he wants to accomplish the following in Word 2003.
In WP 5.1. (DOS), I can do a CTL-F2, then a 5 and type in part of a word (using * or ?) and get the rest of the word

As far as I know, this feature is not available in Word.

Word has AutoCorrect and AutoText, but neither even comes close.

Unfortunately, I don't think that Word's built-in dictionary is very programmable. Maybe there's a "Crossword Dictionary" type add-in that will do this?
