Number variation in report (A97 SR2)

I am having a very bizarre problem in a subreport which I cannot solve.

The subreport is based directly on a table. The field total_amount (Text, 255) contains 999890001.00 and the textbox control for the total_amount on the report then shows 999,889,984.00. There is no formatting, no code - so why should this value have changed ?

    Any ideas please

Could you post a stripped down copy of your database? See <post#=401925>post 401925</post#> for instructions.

    Hans

Had a double-check & had missed a bit of code which used a CSng conversion & it should have been a CDbl conversion. I thought it might have a generated an error rather than just producing an altered number.

    You live & learn

    Thanks
