    Security update (2003)

Office Watch newsletter OW #10.27 mentions an office security patch at http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/...n/MS05-023.mspx. I opened Word, went to the Help menu, and selected Check for updates. All I got was an update to the Outlook 2003 Junk email filter. Why didn't it offer me the security update? If I already have it, how can I check that?

    Re: Security update (2003)

I just run an office update on a rarely used pc and it propose me to install the security bulletin.
If you want to check if you already have it, go to the office update site.
    Do a check for updates.
When it says that you have or don't have updates to install, look at the left column. Under Things To Do you have :
    Show already installed Office Updates.
Run it and look for an update named :
Security Update for Word 2003 (KB887979)
