Create a list of all music files (XP)

I want to create a list of all my music files, which are all in the My Music Folder. Is there a way to do this via Windows Media Player? Thanks.

Would Karen's Directory Printer (free) do what you want?

(Edited by Jon_Rick on 13-Aug-05 02:32. )
Unfortunately, no, since that program cannot display artist name, song title, etc.

I maintain the info contained with each file's ID "tag" (e.g., artist name, song title) more comprehensively than I maintain the info contained within the actual file name (e.g., Bon Jovi - Livin' on a Prayer.mp3).

Postscript: I found the solution: create a playlist that contains all my music files, then go to File | Save Now Playing List As...

What I'd like to do now is to import the playlist into Excel, so I have a printout of my music collection. Exporting the playlist as a M3U file and then trying to import it into Excel seems to be a good start, but I don't know how to extract the (1) artist name; (2) album title; (3) track number; and (4) song title. Any ideas?

    Many thanks!

The result of Save Now Playing List As... doesn't seem to contain any information about the tracks, whether you save as .wpl or as .m3u file.
If you do a Google search for mp3 catalog or free mp3 catalog, I'm sure you'll find something to suit your needs.
