    Good morning,

There are just too many ways to answer that question, because we don't have any specifics from you.

To be honest, your best bet, is to ask your company's IT / IS / MIS staff where to begin. Then we could help with anything further.

    Re: Networking through VPN connections

There are many different ways of setting up a VPN solution. If you are the network administrator then we may be able to offer some advice, but if the office network is managed by someone else then you must ask them what incoming VPN solution they have implemented before anyone can help you to set up your end of the connection.

The best and most secure solution is probably an expensive CISCO VPN appliance, other alternatives could be Wingate VPN which is fairly cheap and relatively easy to configure, or a Microsoft Server product (ISA Server, or Windows Server if you feel really brave).

If we knew a little more about your budget and your network configuration then we may be able to offer you some advice, but the risks of configuring incoming VPN are very high and I would hate to be responsible for your network being hacked!

    Re: Networking through VPN connections

    Hello again,

This is the problem: We have area managers they want to connect through the internet to our network through VPN, they are set up as users in our network (domain ). They want to be able to access our network from their homes through VPN connection. What would you recommend? There are about 12 people (area managers) who need access

    Thanks Skender

    Re: Networking through VPN connections

    Skender,

I am not in a position to "recommend" solutions. Any of the products I suggested in my previous post will do this job for you, they vary in terms of how expensive they are, how difficult they are to set up, how secure they are, and what kind of network they will allow you to connect to.

Have a look at the products I linked to and see if any of them seems to meet your needs.

Maybe someone else with more experience of implementing this kind of solution will have some more suggestions.
