    Outlook - Chinese Characters

(Edited by HansV to provide link to post - see <!help=19>Help 19<!/help>)

    Re: <post#=227134>post 227134</post#>
I followed the instructions posted but (1) at not time was I asked for a CD and (2) when I completed the instructions, which seemed to work fine, I could not locate the font mentioned "MS UI Ghotic"? I really need to find out how to insert into Outlook the Chinese character or symbol for a comma today as soon as possible. Is there something else that will work or what else can I do in order to get this to work?
    thanks - Bonnie McKinnon

    In Word, you can use:

Insert>Symbol..., Font drop-down: Arial Unicode MS, then either

Subset drop-down: CJK Symbols and Punctuation, or

    Enter character code 3001

If you are using Word as your mail editor, that might be the comma you're looking for. If you, like me, use Outlook as your mail editor, I think you'd have to copy and paste and hope for the best!

Thank you for responding so quickly and that helped a lot and I just copied it into Outlook. I am curious as to why Outlook doesn't offer any symbols easily itself, it always seems you have to copy a special symbol either from Word or from the Character Map and I find this pretty annoying.
