ActiveX for CHM? (VB6/ Office 2000)

Does anybody know of an .OCX control or .DLL that enables viewing of .CHM (compiled HTML Help file) topics on a VBA userform? I've managed to achieve it by a rather clunky method, decompiling the CHM on the fly and viewing the selected HTML file/ topic. Although it's fast enough, I'm not too happy with it - lots of junk left to clean up if the app terminates gracelessly, for instance. I've not been able to find anything on the web, but you never know your luck. <img src=/S/crossfingers.gif border=0 alt=crossfingers width=17 height=16>

Microsoft's HHCtrl.ocx is only meant for use in an HTML page (see Working with the HTML Help ActiveX Control (Microsoft Office XP Developer)).

Why not just open the .chm file, instead of trying to embed it in a userform?

    A sensible choice... if the choice was mine to make. <img src=/S/brickwall.gif border=0 alt=brickwall width=25 height=15>

I think I may have managed a robust workaround, with the help of the link you sent. I know that HHCtrl.ocx is only usable (I think) from a web page, but I've managed to get it working the way I need it now, in a WebBrowser control on a userform. The <OBJECT> tags provide enough of a TOC to meet the needs here I think.

    That was a handy tip <img src=/S/cheers.gif border=0 alt=cheers width=30 height=16>
