Excel Currency Conversion Template (Excel 2000)

I downloaded Currency rate calculator.XLT from Microsoft's website and I would like to be able to change the currency that all currencies are converted to. Currently it is into US $ and need CDN $. I have tried adding a new column to convert to CDN$ but when I refresh the template my new column disappears.

Is it possible to get to the formula's or something within this template to change the currency in which all others are measured against?

    I hope I have made sense )

    Thanks,

    Dave.

Re: Excel Currency Conversion Template (Excel 2000)

The conversion table is a web query that takes the data from http://moneycentral.msn.com/investor/exter...excel/rates.asp. You cannot change this website (I hope), so unless you can find an equivalent site that is based onCDN $, you're stuck with it. You can open the template, however, set the first currency to Canadian Dollar, then save it in your templates folder. Each new workbook based on the custoimized template will have the first currency already set to CDN $.

Thank you Hans. I will try to find a site that is based on the CDN $.

    All the best,
