filtering data every 5 secs (excel)

    Hello,
I was wonder what is the correct way to filter through my data and keeping only the the row which correspond to every 5 seconds.
    for example
    13:36:50 1.18 1.14 <
    13:36:51 1.17 1.15
    13:36:52 1.12 1.15
    13:36:53 1.12 1.15
    13:36:54 1.1 1.14
    13:36:55 1.1 1.12 <
I would like to keep the rows with the arrow pointing at them and so on. and delete the ones with out,

Say that your times are in column A, starting in A2 (column headings in row 1).
Insert a blank column in column A (i.e. the times are shifted to column B.
In A2, enter the formula =MOD(SECOND(B2),5) and fill down as far as needed.

You could sort on the new column A, this will leave all rows with seconds divisible by 5 at the top (the remainder is 0). You can easily delete all rows below. You can then also delete column A.

Alternatively, you could set Data | AutoFilter, then click the dropdown arrow in A1 and select 0.
You can then copy the filtered rows and paste them elsewhere.
Or select Custom, Not equal to, 0, then delete the filtered rows.
