    toolbar appearance (Office 2003)

I apologize if this is on the forum, as I searched and didn't find an answer....

I just loaded Office 2003 and the toolbars are butt ugly and hard to read. How do I get a Word/Excel/Outlook 2002 (XP) look to the toolbars? Also, the font in the toobar isn't as crisp. Can it be changed also?

    Thanks.

I don't know whether there is a way to change the overall style of the toolbars. The fonts are drawn from Windows display settings. I turn off the aliasing technologies (e.g., ClearType). That gives me sharper but more pixelated-looking text. (This is under Display properties, Appearance tab, Effects button, second checkbox.)

Thanks. I found what I needed under the appearance/advanced/item box. Got it to where it's ok.
